Born Sept. 20, 1938, in Orland, Roger was the beloved husband of Patricia (Hughes) Nevells, son of Maxwell and Margaret (Lamoreau) Nevells, and father to Roger Nevells Jr. and Susan (Nevells) Allarie. Growing up, Roger attended schools in Blue Hill and Augusta, and received his diploma from Cony High School. Roger married Patricia Hughes on Feb. 14, 1960, and they settled in Sidney where they would make their life and raise their family. Many mornings you could find him enjoying conversation and breakfast out at his favorite diner. His evenings were spent sharing his love of sports (Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots) and playing cribbage or cards with his wife or any number of his grandsons. Roger will be missed by all, from his welcoming smile, to his sincere "howdy," strong handshake, and long bear hugs. His genuine Christian faith was part of his everyday life - a living faith that he expressed by helping countless others in any way that he could. Roger is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia; son, Roger Nevells Jr. and his wife Juliann (LaMarra) Nevells; daughter, Susan (Nevells) Allarie and her husband Dan Allarie; seven grandsons, Joshua Allarie, Brandon Nevells, Brian Allarie, Garrett Nevells, Matthew Allarie, Justin Nevells, and Isaac Allarie; sister, Ruthie Nevells; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
